Man nabbed in Baton Rouge after TX Amber Alert

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge man who was part of a Texas Amber Alert for a missing 12-year-old girl was taken into custody early Tuesday afternoon in Baton Rouge, a law enforcement source told WAFB-TV.

Less than two hours later, family members of the missing girl said she had been found alive near Houston, television station KPRC-TV reported.

Authorities in Texas issued an Amber Alert Tuesday morning for a 12-year-old girl from the Houston area who was believed to be with 26-year-old Ariel Anderson, authorities said.

Anderson was taken into custody by law enforcement officers from multiple agencies early Tuesday afternoon in Baton Rouge, the source said.

The girl’s family said her credit card had been recently used at a motel in Baton Rouge, KPRC-TV reported.

The 12-year-old was reportedly last seen early Monday morning at a hotel in Houston.

According to the Amber Alert, police believed she was with Anderson.
