Britain's Got Talent viewers fumed during the first live semi-final of this series on Monday as Amanda Holden was cut off due to a technical fault.

The talent show judge, 52, was giving her comments after the first act United 2 Dance performed.

However, show fans at home were unable to hear her remarks due to a technical fault, leaving many frustrated.

One person wrote on Twitter: 'So in the first 15 minutes of the first live show, Ant slipped over and there was a random technical issue, interesting start!!

While someone else shared: 'So it wasn't just me that had the technical fault. The troubles of being LIVE.'

'Sort out the technical faults!', wrote another person, while someone else joked: 'Bring on more technical faults!'

The first semi-final of this year's show began with some eye-opening scenes as new judge Bruno Tonioli, 67, paraded his plump pecs in front of the cameras.

Former Strictly Come Dancing panellist Bruno was seen pulling apart his shirt to show off his toned torso after saying he would display his muscles in 'solidarity' for Amanda and fellow judge Alesha Dixon after some viewers criticised their revealing attire.

Actress and radio host Amanda, 52, ensured all eyes were on her as she wore a figure-hugging canary yellow dress with a daring low-cut neckline.

The fishtail garment featured a corset top section which perfectly accentuated her hourglass figure, with the star hopping up on the judging panel's desk to dance for the audience as the show opened.

Singer Alesha, 44, looked equally as stunning as she too wore a corset top but in red, which she teamed with a matching skirt and detached sleeves.

It comes after Bruno hit out at the ‘snowflakes’ who think that fellow judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon show ‘too much boob’.

Amanda got a record 663 Ofcom complaints after wearing a revealing dress on the show in 2017 and has continued to wear spectacular outfits on the show year after year.

Bruno said: 'Why should you complain because it is a beautiful woman wearing a dress?

'I would say, "Please, show more!" I don’t understand how backwards we have become. A beautiful woman in a beautiful dress – what’s wrong with that? How can that be offensive. I do not understand.

'We are going back 50 years! It is utter nonsense! I will get my pecs out in solidarity. It is snowflakes.

'These two girls are so beautiful, so glamorous and so well-dressed. I will have to wear something which is just as low cut. I do love a bit of sparkle, but I can’t compete.

'I will have to be unbuttoned to the navel to compete with Amanda!'

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda's revealing outfit received more complaints than any other television moment in 2017, according to Ofcom.

The June 1 episode - in which the ITV star wore a daring dress, slashed to the navel - attracted some 663 complaints as of September that year, the watchdog said.

Amanda wore the controversial £11,250 dress by Julien Macdonald, after admitting days earlier that she was seeking complaints, as she joked: 'Will people be complaining to Ofcom? I hope so, I really do.'

A year earlier the Britain's Got Talent final saw 90 complaints regarding Alesha and Amanda's dress choices sent to Ofcom – and 200 sent to ITV, although the regulator deemed them both 'suitable' for the show.

Bruno was speaking to promote the live finals of the show and said that he felt as if he had completely settled in to the job after completing his first season in the role.

The first semi-final of this year's series saw dance troupe United 2 Dance, singer Gamal John, magician Enzo Weyne and freerunning trio Parkour Collective take to the stage.

'Fartist' Ichikawa Koikuchi, dancer Musa Motha, and singers Abi Carter-Simpson and Amy Lou also performed.

The show got off to a chaotic start as Ant McPartlin  accidentally slipped over on stage.

The first live semi-final kicked off with hosts Ant and Declan Donnelly introducing the four judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli.

They then surprised the audience with their special guests, 2009 BGT winners Diversity who performed on stage.

At the end dance troupe leader Ashley Banjo ran forward as Ant and Dec came running to join him.

But Ant's feet slipped right out from under him and he slammed to the floor in a hilarious entrance.

The judges fell apart laughing as Ant got back on his feet and Dec asked him if he was okay.

He replied: 'I wet myself and farted at the same time!'

Laughing off the blunder, the hosts made their way to the judging panel to talk before the show.

Amanda wasted no time in asking Ant: 'Is your coccyx alright?'

He assured her he was fine and Simon quipped that it was the comedy duo's best entrance yet.

Dec took the opportunity after the break to replay the fall in slow-motion much to Ant's displeasure.

Ant quipped: 'I'm making a claim! That was a very slippy stage.'

Dec added: 'You better lawyer up.'

Viewers at home couldn't help but react to the hilarious moment and took to Twitter to voice their amusement.

A third praised: 'Poor Ant! He’s handled it so well through the pain and embarrassment of everyone milking it.'

The Britain's Got Talent finals continue on Tuesday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
