Things are getting really serious for the Brisbane Lions now, and not just in the context of this match, which has rapidly slipped away from them this quarter.

If this continues, their season is in real peril, too. Five losses for the year by round seven already makes a top four finish extremely difficult.

As for the Giants, it’s a performance full of merit. They’re missing three of their absolute best players in Toby Greene, Sam Taylor and Stephen Coniglio, yet they are making light work of the Lions now.
