PUMA and Palomo Spain meet again, and this time, the storied collaborators are hopping aboard the loafer-sneaker hybrid trend. Coming shortly after the New Balance 1906L swept the internet, the German sportswear brand and the Spanish fashion label have crafted a dressed-up silhouette based on PUMA’s Nitefox sneaker.

The collaborative model is based on the Nitefox’s rubber sole, which features accentuated grooves and linear designs throughout its construction. The silhouette otherwise drifts from the familiar model, instead employing a loafer-style upper made in “Frosted Ivory” leather. Exuding sophistication, the hybrid sneaker is decorated with leather tassels and an elevated metal buckle.

PUMA and Palomo have a rich collaborative history. The pair first teamed up in 2022 for a 1970s football-inspired collection filled with 15 gender-neutral pieces. The duo then reconnected last year for a line galvanized by the spirit of ’60s and ’70s surf culture. At the time of writing, the brands have not confirmed whether there will be additional colorways for their new hybrid shoe, nor have they revealed any ready-to-wear pieces that may accompany the design.

The PUMA x Palomo Spain loafer-sneaker hybrid is slated to release at midnight on May 11 via PUMA’s webstore. The silhouette will cost $180 USD. Take a look at the design in the gallery above.
